We continue our tour through the Mobile Vienna.
Join us at
MobileHeads #13!
This time we stop at bitsfabrik for our Autumn Edition.

We'll have talks, mobile engineering discussions, drinks and enough time to catch up with people from Vienna's mobile community.
Swift? Kotlin? React Native? Flutter? KMP?
Doesn't matter.
If you build mobile things, come join us.

Talks

Software Development is a Conversation by Simon
Technology changes fast. The principles that help us build good software tend to last much longer — and communication is one of them.
This talk looks at how code, tests, documentation, humans, and increasingly AI all participate in the same conversation, using TandemDoc as a practical example of how we can improve our ways of communication.

On-Device AI in Real Apps: Lessons from Android and iOS by Klemens
On-device AI is becoming a real platform capability. This talk gives app developers a practical reality check: what local LLMs can actually do on Android and iOS, how they compare to cloud-based AI like ChatGPT or Claude, and when they really work offline. Using KM Geld, a mileage-tracking app, as a concrete example, we’ll look at the architecture decisions, fallbacks and UX constraints that matter when adding local AI to real apps.

Between the API and the Metal: Lessons from making a film camera app fast & performant by Janusz

No sales pitches. No endless slide decks.
Just mobile developers, interesting engineering conversations, and a good reason to get together.
See you at the next MobileHeads. 🚀
